The Schoharie County Sheriff's Office responded to a barn fire in the town of Sharon this morning at the Magnolia Run Equestrian Center. A two-story stable/apartment building was completely destroyed, but several horses and 49-year-old Brian Funk escaped the fire. Funk sustained minor burns and was treated at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown and released. A firefighter from the town of Carlisle was also treated at Bassett Hospital for possible heat exhaustion.
