A section of Route 28 was shut down briefly earlier in the evening after an accident just outside of Margaretville. Unofficial reports from a grapevine of police-scanner listeners say that a motorcycle with two people on board failed to negotiate a difficult S-curve and crashed. At least one person seems to have been medivac'd out of the area by helicopter -- we saw the helicopter fly over Andes earlier tonight.
The road is now cleared for traffic. The Delaware County Sheriff's Office says they are still investigating the incident, and will issue a press release later on. We will keep this post updated as we learn more.
