Despite the week of soggy weather and last night's impressive thunderstorms, there's only a bit of flooding around the Catskills region today, mainly in Ulster County. A U.S. Geological Survey's hydrograph, posted below, shows that the Esopus Creek is cresting at a few feet above flood stage this morning in Mount Marion. Other hydrographs for the region show that several area reservoirs are very full, but not yet overflowing, and that the Esopus is staying in between its banks elsewhere.
A NY Alert sent out this morning reported that Rte. 213 in Ulster County was closed because of flooding. The road is now open.
