RAILS TO THE CATSKILLS: PREMIERE JUNE 1ST - ENCORE PREMIERE JUNE 8TH
Willow Mixed Media and The Mountain Top Historical Society in Haines Falls present the premiere screenings of our new documentary film, RAILS TO THE CATSKILLS on June 1st and again on June 8th. Both screenings are at 4PM at Mountain Cinema (Doctorow Arts Center) in Hunter, NY.
RAILS TO THE CATSKILLS is a history of the dynamic railroad industry in the northern and southern Catskill mountains of New York State. Catskill railroads have roots in the canals of the 1820's and the post Civil War railroad boom. The film covers the myriad of rail lines that began as part of the railroad “frenzy” that gripped the United States after the end of the Civil War.
