Ongoing Through July 27 ~ Exhibit: A Good Time Was Had by All This exhibit features amusements, games and sports. Items from DCHA’s collections include: a penny-farthing bike, swim suits from the 1920-30s, wood skis, guitar harp and mandolin.
Tuesday, June 18 ~ Picturing America: Workshop on National & Local History ~ 11am Bill Birns, Ph.D, will lead the workshop using high-quality laminated reproductions of important pieces of American Art, provided by the National Endowment for the Humanities. This month’s topic is: Values. Free and open to all.

Saturday, July 27 ~ Enchanted Evening at the Gideon Frisbee House ~ 6pm – 9pm An evening of spirited socializing beneath the stars. Featuring an extensive buffet from 6 – 7:30pm and a dessert buffet from 7:30 – 9pm. Live music. Current Members Free. RSVP requested by July 25. (We request non-members become members of DCHA in lieu of admission.)
Friday, August 2 ~ Exhibit Opening: City Meets Country ~ 4pm – 6pm Free wine and cheese reception celebrating the opening of a new exhibit of photographs taken by Sidney native Beth Brown. The exhibit explores the juxtaposition of NYC and Delaware County.
Tuesday, August 20 ~ Picturing America: Workshop on National & Local History ~ 11am Hosted by Bill Birns, Ph.D, this month’s topic is: Connecting Cultures. Free and open to all.
Thursday, September 12 ~ The New York State Archives, Library and Museum Bus Trip Travel on a luxury motor coach to Albany for a day of research and learning at the NYS Archives, Library and Museum. The day will start with an orientation to the archives and manuscripts division of the library, followed by a chance to see the Civil War exhibit at the Museum. Lunch will be on your own, followed by a chance to see more of the museum or to spend a couple of hours researching in the archives or library. Cost to be announced.
Friday, September 13 ~ Exhibit Opening: Planting Wilderness ~ 5pm Free wine and cheese reception celebrating the opening of a new interdisciplinary exhibit created by Bertha Rogers. “Planting Wildness” looks at the history of New York’s reforestation program that began in 1902.
Tuesday, September 17 ~ Picturing America: Workshop on National & Local History ~ 11am Hosted by Bill Birns, Ph.D, this month’s topic is: Challenges Remaining. Free and open to all.
Saturday & Sunday, September 21st & 22nd ~ Quilts Along the Delaware ~ 10am – 4pm Come view quilts from the Delaware County Town and Country Quilters. Featured Quilter: Lesley Gray.
