Five watershed agencies partnered beyond clean water and working farmland by donating 80 hats, mittens and socks to benefit schoolchildren at the Townsend School, Walton. Kim Holden of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Delaware County (left) and Paula Bagley of USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service (right) coordinated the office fundraiser, The 2nd Annual Winter Hats-Mittens-Socks Drive. To attract co-workers' attention, they set up a decorative holiday "tree" by the lunchroom. Employees of CCE, NRCS, Farm Service Agency, Watershed Agricultural Council and Delaware County Soil & Water Conservation District donated the kids' winter items which were delivered this week.
