Photography by Christine Rodin, now through Estate

Chace-Randall Gallery will always miss the presence of photographer Christine Rodin, but we shall not miss her work. There are still limited editiion sepia toned silver prints, as well as color landscapes printed on watercolor paper, works printed and signed by Christine. But the Estate of Christine Rodin will carry forth, hereafter. Her sister Linda sharing Christine's aesthetic, especially in the antique frames for which they combed NYC flea markets together for years.

The silver gelatin prints, as well, will be available in imagery, though now in Espon watercolor prints, Christine's negatives scanned and saved before her death.

They are no less beautiful.

Chace-Randall Gallery director resides most of winter in a wee cottage on the Gulf, just south of Tallahassee. She named it the Plover Cottage. Falling in love with one of Christine's plover still life images, she purchased a silver gelatin print. Not wanting to live without the print year round, she asked Christine for an Epson rendition for the beach cottage. It is no less beautiful than the silver gelatin hanging in her Andes parlor.

Images will be available in Spring. Commissions of imagery from contact sheets are also available.

It was sad seeking Christine's  Plover, my Plover, for this news, sifting through emails before Chris died to find it, the jpeg on the gallery hard drive and me in Alligator Point, hard reading our correspondence. But I am greatful to her sister Linda for keeping her work alive. And I love my Plover, still, and even more.. -- Zoe Randall
