We just made it a whole lot easier to post your videos to the WP -- check it out!

With us today to add a little more sizzle to this exciting new development at Watershed Post HQ, via the magic of YouTube, is Dramatic Chipmunk. (Ba ba baaaaaaaaaa!)

We love digital video around here. We use it all the time. And so do some of the folks advertising on our unique news-from-local-businesses channel. (Shoutout to Jess Vecchione at Vecc Videography, local videographer, documentarian, and all-around class act.)

But we admit it: Until now, getting your videos to appear on our site has been, shall we say, tedious. We don't much enjoy mucking around with HTML code, and we know you don't either. So we've equipped the site with a handy little gadget that will let you post your videos without messing about with HTML or the WYSIWYG rich-text editor. (Don't know what that is? Hooray! You no longer need to have a degree in programming to get your videos online!)

Here's how it works: There's a new field in our news-posting form. Observe:

Just copy the URL (that's the web address) of the YouTube or Vimeo video you want to post, paste it in the "Embed a video" field, and the video will show up in all its glory at the top of your post. (Or you can find the HTML embed code and use that. Works either way.)

We're tempted to run a whole bunch of video stories today, because we're so psyched about how easy this is now. And because we're big geeks like that.

Want to advertise in our local business news channel? It's just $25 a month, it helps us keep bringing you fresh local news, and it reaches 12,000 monthly readers from across the Catskills and the NYC metro area. Drop us a line at sales@watershedpost.com.
