Banners Going Up in Delhi

On Tuesday, March 29, 2016, the Delhi Beautification Committee, with the assistance of the Delhi Telephone Company, will mount new banners on utility poles at the major entrances to the Village of Delhi.  The maroon and white banners, 30”x 60”, feature a photo of the Court House Square bandstand and the words “Historic Delhi, Incorporated 1821, Gem of the Catskills.”  The Committee has undertaken this project as a way of expressing and celebrating community pride in the Village of Delhi.

The Beautification Committee developed and purchased the banners, using a photo by Eloise Henault and graphic design by Deb Fleming.   The banners will be visible to motorists as they enter and leave the Village on Route 10 North (near Winter’s Greenhouse) and South (near Price Chopper), and on Route 28 North (near Rosa Circle) and South (near Delaware Academy).   The first banners will be mounted around 10:30 am on Route 28 South between O’Connor Hospital and Delaware Academy.

UPDATE 3/28/16:  Banner mounting postponed until further notice.
