Master Magician Arthur Martello will present an evening of magic and dialogue titled “Step Into my Parlour” at 7:30 PM July 21st at The Open Eye Theater 960 Main Street in Margaretville for one performance only.  Highly regarded as representing excellence in his profession Martello is a member of The American Society of Magicians, Kedabra International and The International Brotherhood of Magicians from which he holds The Order of Merlin.  Open Eye actress Barbara Morrow whose latest appearance was in the production “Summer Short Cuts” reprising this summer with new short plays will assist in the performance.  The stage is being set for a first class theater experience of being dazzled by illusions and tricks of all sorts.

The late Roger Bobley, former director of the Andes Round Table has said….”Aside from the magicians that appear on television doing mega-stunts, Art Martello is the most entertaining and most appealing magician I’ve ever encountered.  The reason is that he is a kind, down-to-earth human being with a great sense of humor who is not only adept at his craft, but who makes you feel comfortable and upbeat in his presence.  Although laid back and casual in demeanor, he has a knack for keeping you dazzled and laughing”.

Once again, Art will grace the Open Eye stage with his special brand of small theatre (parlor) magic in an all new program of close-up entertainment with some special surprises.  For this performance, Art has added a couple of large illusions that will surely amaze and dazzle the Open Eye audience as he has done at the Walton Theater for a “call back” performance.  Art will attempt to predict the July 21 headline of the Daily Star which will be mailed to attorney/judge Gary Rosa in a sealed envelope weeks before the show.  Be part of the fun and perhaps you too will be part of the entertainment.

Admission is $18.00 for adults, $15.00- for seniors and $10.00 for youths through age 29. Dinner and Theater arrangements are at Binnekill Square Restaurant, Hanah Mountain Resort , The Inn Between Steak and Seafood Restaurant,  and Summerfields  at 5:30 PM. Patrons after dinner will have a premium reserved seat at the theater. Reservations for the show are through the theater box office at 845-586-1660.
