Troy Artist to Perform in Woodstock Concert November 13
Professional harpist Lydia Zotto of Troy will perform in concert on Sunday, November 13 as part of the St. Gregory’s Young Artist series. The public is invited to attend this free concert which will begin at 3 pm on Nov. 13.
Zotto’s musical passion is of wide range. “She enjoys expanding the musical horizons of the harp, playing repertoire that is rarely heard on the harp, such as songs from the “American Songbook” to pop music from the 1970s to today,” said concert coordinator Marie Duane.
A graduate of the Eastman School of Music as well as the Juilliard Pre-College program, Zotto also received an M.B.A. from Union College. As part of her current career, she has a studio in Troy where she teaches students of ages in addition to studying for her nursing degree at Hudson Valley Community College.
This will be a return engagement at St. Gregory’s for Zotto. According to Ms. Duane, Zotto was the first artist to perform in the Concert Series which began 10 years ago.
