Arkville flood update

Reader Cassandra Olin sent us a few pictures she took this morning. This one's from behind the railroad:

And this one's from the bridge on the corner of Route 28 and Dry Brook Road:

Olin writes:

On either side of the river is a trailer park that is also flooded. The road was blocked off so I didn't dare walk down there to take photos.

*UPDATE, 10:25pm: We weren't aware of this earlier, but Arkville was under a water-conservation order earlier today. That has now been lifted, and the village's water pumps have been turned back on, according to a press release from the Delaware County Sheriff's Office issued around 6pm.

The Catskill Mountain News, which usually only publishes on Wednesdays, had a breaking-news photo and blurb about the flooding in Margaretville and Arkville on their website today.

Click here for our main story on flooding throughout the Catskills region. We will be posting information about individual towns as we receive it. Email photos, news updates, etc. to us at editor@watershedpost.com, or leave a comment on our website. Thanks!
