Rifle pilfered; Woodstockers arrested

Shandaken police report that two Woodstock residents -- 43-year-old Kenneth S. Mohler, and 40-year-old Anna E. Malmude -- were arrested today on charges related to a burglary at a Woodland Valley house. There is an ongoing investigation into the incident, and police expect that more arrests will be made.

The Shandaken Police reports the arrest of 43 year old Kenneth S. Mohler and 40 year old Anna E. Malmude of Woodstock Friday afternoon. Police state they received a complaint that a residence for sale in Woodland Valley was entered and some items were stolen as a result, including a .22 caliber rifle. Police state that they recovered the rifle on Thursday morning with the assistance of Woodstock Police Officers at the residence of Anna Malmude and after an investigation, both Malmude and Mohler were both arrested and each charged with 1 count of Burglary and 1 count of Grand Larceny all Felonies. They were both issue appearance tickets returnable in Shandaken Town Court on July 12th. Police state that the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected.
